I’m not usually one to get on board with fan films. Most of them are little better than fan fiction; their only appeal being the fact that they piggy back an interesting narrative, or unintentional humour. And I’ll be honest, things aren’t that different here. Yes, they got a dude who did a voice in the actual Fallout games, and yes it actually looks professionally filmed (by today’s standards), but the acting is wooden, the cinematography is at best functional without form—yet it doesn’t matter. Not one bit.
The thing is, Fallout: Lanius is full of muscular dudes without shirts on killing each other in homoerotic wrestling and chainsaw matches while some dude tells another “Drop to your knee, and kiss the seal”, and the dude that got told to do this innuendo-filled homoerotic action has a ’70s cowboy moustache complete with sideburns and a wistful glare. He then proceeds to beat the oral sex ordering dude to death with the seal, complete with full on body slam which breaks out into a battle-royal with nearly nude sweat box body guards while blood flows like semen from chainsaw blade and the dead grimace orgasmically.
It’s hot shit.
