Nintendo have released a metric shit ton of new information for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, via a new gameplay trailer and truckload of screens to go along with it.
First up a new Mega-Evolved Pokémon was revealed today—Mega Metagross a massive Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon . Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’s Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defence, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offence and defence.
Next up is news that Pokémon-Amie will return. in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. players will once again allow players to play games, pet them, and feed their pokemon special snacks called Poké Puffs to As a player’s Pokémon to improve various stats that improve the rates in which your pokemon evade attacks, land critical hits, and get an overall boost in performance.
It also appears that Pikachi has been rummaging through the dressing up box as the petulant rodent seems to have caught the cosplay bug as he’ll now be able to sport all kinds of silly costumes in Omega Ruby Pokémon and Alpha Sapphire.
This new weird behaviour seems to have something to do with a new kind of Contest Hall that players will be able to visit. More information about ‘Cosplay Pikachu’ will be revealed in August!
Finally Nintendo have released new screens of the game’s redesigned Gym leaders including the main character’s father, Norman, Leader of the Petalburg City Gym, Rustboro City Gym Leader Roxanne, Dewford Town Gym Leader Brawly, Mauville City Gym Leader Wattson, and Lavaridge Town Gym Leader Flannery. as well as Elite Four members Sidney and Phoebe and Hoenn League Champion, Steven.
Phew… Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be out on 28th November, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS/2DS systems
