Have you ever wondered who would win in a Punch up between Nicola Tesla and Jack the Ripper, or whether Little Red Riding Hood could kick the shit out of Frankenstein’s Monster, Adam. No, neither have I, it’s clear that the precocious little wench doesn’t have the reach .
Well it seems the folks over at Crytek have, today revealing their latest creation Arena of Fate a 5 vs 5 online action strategy game (whatever that means) in which various famous faces from history and classical fiction beat the stuffing out of each other for, uh well, we’re not entirely sure. Shits and giggles I guess.
Coming soon to Consoles and PCs, information on what players will actually do in the game are incredibly light. All we know so far is that each of the game’s characters will have powers and special moves that are vaguely related to other fictional representation of them. Jack will have blade based attacks and Frankensteins Monster will be able to bring himself back from dead, Tesla will fight with electricity and probably be played by David Bowie (OK I made that last bit up). There will most certainly be cooperative/competitive fisticuffs of some form or another. the game’s head developer is excited about it, the game will be playable at this years E3 and you can sign up for the beta on the game’s offical website here.
