Our last two articles regarding the iOS version of Injustice: Gods Among Us were negative. The game had begun to frequently crash, and the new Aquaman and Blackest Night Batman character challenges could not be accessed. Then, an update for iTunes was released this week and everything in the iOS Injustice universe stabilized. This left players just enough time to enter the latest Challenge Stage and receive the Black Lantern Batman.
However, the huge news for the game does not come from Challenge Stages. The big news is a new, clearly established “Alpha-Dog,” who is the Arkham Asylum Batman card-fighter. Since the game was released, the Superman card-fighter had topped the charts in terms of statistical strength. As stated in the ladder though, Arkham Asylum Batman holds a level 1 strength of 1,000 and a health level of 1,150, which dwarfs Superman’s strength and is only 50 points lower in total health. As a result, this hulking version of Batman has a ton of damage to throw around. The strongest card-fighters in the game are shown below from right to left:
The only downside to the new card-fighter is the cost. Arkham Asylum Batman costs 375,000 credits, only 25,000 credits less than the Red Son pack that offers 3 characters, so players better prepare their thumbs if they are set on getting the best basher in the iOS Injustice reality.
Furthermore, there are two team sets that will bring about the best results from Batman. These teams have been given the titles of Gotham Power Bars and The Trinity. After spending such a huge amount of credits, players will need to plan these teams accordingly.
TEAM 1: GOTHAM POWER BARS
The special ability of Arkham Asylum Batman starts him (NOT his team) off in any match with 2 full power bars. Add Batgirl, whose special ability adds 1 power bar to every character on her team, and players can start every match with full power. Add the normal Batman card-fighter in as the last team member and he will boost his team’s damage by 25%. Therefore, this team enhances Arkham Asylum Batman’s strength even further and it also allows players to use an unblockable move instantly.
TEAM 2: THE TRINITY
This team takes its name from the popular DC comic book series that teams Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman against DC’s mightiest evils. Rather than settling for less, balloon Arkham Asylum Batman’s power generation and damage by adding Red Son Superman (+50% damage to team) and Red Son Wonder Woman (+30% power generation to team) as his allies.
Batman will begin each battle with 2 power bars, and Wonder Woman’s power generation bonus will max out the rest of his power bars very quickly. Of course, The Trinity is more than pricey. Players will drop 775,000 credits just to assemble the team, but it is a team that can blow through every level, even the dreaded and over-powered Regime Wonder Woman at the end.
The cost of this new card is worth the opportunity. Frustrated players who have been unable to clear all of the iOS Injustice levels will benefit from saving up and assembling The Trinity. Gotham Power Bars is also formidable and costs much less money. Either way, it is clear who the Alpha-Dog (in caps!) of the Injustice reality is and, finally, it is not a Kryptonian.
