A new Challenge Stage for the iOS Injustice: Gods Among Us began today. Players will have 9 days to complete the Challenge Stage. If you can guide your card-fighters successfully through each match, then a Gold Hawkgirl card is added to your decks. This announcement also signals that the Blackest Night Batman is no longer available within the last Challenge Stage.
As with every Challenge Stage, 25 Challenge Credits are awarded, and the cost for each battle towards Hawkgirl costs 1 credit. The 25 credits will be enough to fight through the first 2 battles, but more game play to have enough credits to complete the remaining stages is necessary.
Battle 1: Hawkgirl Challenge Stage Walk-through
The first round requires gamers to use only Bronze level card-fighters. The best Bronze card-fighter in the game is Lex Luthor. His special ability adds 15% damage to his team members. We added Green Arrow, who adds a 5% damage bonus to teams, and topped of our group with the Flash. Flash gains 15% attack speed for every special attack he uses, and the added 20% damage makes him unstoppable against the lower level foes here.
If players are new to the iOS version, then simply use the highest level Bronze card-fighters in your deck. If you are a veteran hero collector, then use Lex and Green Arrow as the best support cards, but feel free to substitute Sinestro or Solomon Grundy for Flash if he is unavailable.
Battle 2: Hawkgirl Challenge Stage Walk-through
Battle 2 requires that either the Bronze Flash or the Silver Regime Flash be on your team. This got us really excited, as it allowed us to showcase one of the funnest teams in the game. This team of fighters has been dubbed “Undead Speed Force.”
To assemble it, place the Regime version of the Flash in the last card-fighter slot. He will add 15% attack speed to each team member. Next, add the Red Son versions of Deathstroke and Solomon Grundy. Deathstroke will add another 10% attack speed to the team, bringing the total to 25%, and Solomon Grundy will add a 30% health bonus. The reason that this team is so fabulous to fight with is that the speed increases render Solomon Grundy faster than the Flash. Suddenly, the slow hulk of a bruiser becomes an unparalleled super-sonic zombie. No team in the second battle round stands a chance!
Battle 3: Hawkgirl Challenge Stage Walk-through
Round 3 requires teams with only Silver or Bronze level characters. Thus, there are a variety of options. The Silver Joker with two of his Harley’s will be a lethal team. However, the Silver Green Lantern and the Silver Lex Luthor are two of the best support cards in the game. Lex adds a 25% health boost and the Regime Green Lantern adds a huge power generation boost. With those 2 at your back, you can add any fighter. We chose Doomsday to clobber his way through Catwoman, and the other opposing forces.
Battle 4: Hawkgirl Challenge Stage Walk-through
Battle 4 is the fem-fatale round, as only female characters can be on your team. The Arkham Asylum Harley adds a 25% health bonus, the Gold Batgirl card adds one power bar to each fighter, and the Regime Wonder Woman receives power generation for every blocked attack. If player haven’t figured it out yet, then note that the Regime Wonder Woman is the finest individual fighter in the iOS Injustice reality. With this team, block with Wonder Woman and do not attack. Her blocked attacks will generate her special attacks, and once they are maxed unleash them to show Hawkgirl the god-like powers of the Amazon Princess.
Battle 5: Hawkgirl Challenge Stage Walk-through
The last round of duels require either the Silver Black Adam or the Regime Black Adam to be on your team. The first opponents are not too tough, but beware the last teams pictured below, which assemble a host of earlier Challenge Stage fighters like Raven, Aquaman and Blackest Night Batman.
The last fight pits your team against Hawkgirl. To assure an easy victory we assembled the big guns from the remaining Red Son members of Superman and Wonder Woman. They add huge damage and power generation boosts to Black Adam. Once Hawkgirl is defeated, then her card is added to your deck. Her special ability allows her teammates to tag in and out of matches very quickly. This references her advanced military training as a Thanagarian intelligence officer. Overall, this special ability doesn’t add much to a team, but it can be used effectively on a team we have dubbed “Teth Annoyers.”
To assemble this team, you will need Hawkgirl as the first fighter, Regime Black Adam as the second, and the Silver Black Adam as the third. Once matches start, immediately tag out Hawkgirl for one of the Black Adams. This will activate Black Adam’s lightning shield, which can take 3 hits from opponents. Once it wears off, tag in the other Black Adam to activate his lightning shield. Repeat this to wear down teams. Each punch or kick they land costs their own health as the lightning shield reflect damage back at opponents. This also allows Hawkgirl to generate power in the background. Once it is full, tag her in to unleash an unblockable attack.
