We begin this week’s Top 5 with a much-needed iOS Injustice: Gods Among Us piece for all of you fanatics out there, who are biding their time between plotting teams and sowing new costumes. Today’s list counts down the best Bronze Card-Fighters available in the game.
For those of you coming in late, the primary difference between the console and the iOS is that the DC characters are divided into various card types for the App-version. These cards come in three different levels: Bronze (weak), Silver (average), Gold (high). Furthermore, when players begin the game 3 Bronze cards appear in decks, and gamers do not have control over the randomness. As a result, many teams and card-fighters are often formed carelessly. The problem with randomness is that it does not take each card-fighter’s special ability into account. Some special abilities are not beneficial to teams, but the card-fighters on this list are all worth your while. In fact, they are the only Bronze cards worth having.
5) The Flash
The Flash begins at the bottom of our list because he truly is a guilty pleasure. Unlike the upcoming cards, Flash gives bonuses only to himself. His Speedforce ability adds 15% to his attack speed for every special attack used. As a result, Flash is lightning quick and can out punch every other Bronze card-fighter in the iOS Injustice reality. All competitors should keep this in mind as the opening battle in each Challenge Stage requires Bronze fighters.
With the proper support cards, he will steam-roll teams through the first two levels of battle easily. After that, nearly all the Bronze cards lose their effectiveness, and one needs to upgrade with Silver and Gold card-fighters. Until then, the fastest man alive is a ton of fun and a dangerous, health draining member!
4) Green Arrow
Green Arrow is one of the rare Bronze card-fighters that benefits his whole team. The special Tactics ability adds 5% damage to every card-fighter, which is a huge benefit in the early stages of the game. He is best suited in the third card slot for a team where he can offer help from the shadows. Regardless, his special attacks are noteworthy as they drain opponent’s energy levels. Thus, he can cause huge headaches for rivals who are relying on high level special attacks, as Green Arrow can siphon their attacks and leave them defenseless.
3) Green Lantern
Yes, his movie was utterly crap, but this Bronze version of the Green Lantern will kick-start team health levels. His Protective Shield ability adds 5% to his team’s overall health. If you find yourself often encountering close fights, then having this card-fighter on your side will most likely swing the war into your favor.
The game has yet to offer a Gold Green-Lantern card-fighter, but this version, unlike his New 52 counterpart, is a good one for the opening stages of the game.
2) Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn is nuts, but her affection for Mr. J shines through. Her Crazy Love ability adds a whopping 25% damage to any Joker card as well as to herself. A very effective tactic for the first stages is to get Harley and save up to buy the Silver (average) Joker card-fighter. If you add our next card-fighter, then the Joker will have a nearly unstoppable barrage of tricks.
1) Lex Luthor
Lex Luthor is a master-mind of both the financial sector as well as crime. His Advanced Power Source adds a huge 15% damage to everyone on his team. As a result, only he and Harley are viable candidates to stay on teams through higher stages. Teaming the Joker with the Bronze cards of Harley and Lex is a great team. In addition, Lex’s damage surplus is only outweighed by the Red Son Superman. His low-cost and team-first combination makes him the best Bronze card-fighter in the game!
