It has been rumored that Ben Affleck will don the cape and cowl based on the suit from Batman: Noel. The graphic novel led Batman through a quest to find the Joker, and the one-shot metaphorically painted The Dark Knight into Scrooge, Superman into the ghosts of Christmas, and a host of other minor-characters into other pieces from the famous fable.
A photo was posted to Yahoo! and other sources, but the validity could not be verified. As a result, any information about the impending Superman vs. Batman flick is apparently big news. Furthermore, Kevin Smith has become a very positive and outspoken supporter of the project, even going so far as to vocally pipe about how he would have been cast as the Penguin were Affleck cast as Batman ten years ago. He then raved on a pod-cast about how he bear-hugged Affleck out of excitement when he saw the new suit for the first time.
