Wizards of the Coast have announced, drum roll please, Magic 2015: Duels of the Planewalkers.
This in itself isn’t that shocking, we all knew it was coming sooner or later, a new game has been released annually for the last couple of years, They’re pretty good way to learn and play Magic too. (Here’s our review of Magic 2014 in case you were interested).
This year’s edition see’s players square off against Garruk Wildspeaker the deadliest hunter in the MAgic universe, bord of hunting mythical beasts he decides to have a go at hunting the greatest prey of all.. Magic: The Gathering players.
What’s more Wizards of the Coast promise that 2015 is going to be the best yet, finally giving players the ability to build custom decks from scratch with the games more robust deck builder, new booster packs, premium content (that’s DLC to you and me) and everything else you’ve come to expect from the series like the aforementioned campaign and online play.
Magic 2015: Duels of the Planewalkers is currently scheduled for release in 2014 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, iOS and Android.
Oddly though the press release didn’t mention Sony formats, so at the moment we have to assume that the game won’t be coming to PS3, PS4 or Vita.
We have reached out to Wizards of the Coast for confirmation on this, and will update the story if/when we get a reply.
In the meantime check out the game’s first trailer and screens below.
