Oddworld Inhabitants have released a shiny new cinematic trailer for the upcoming remake of Abe’s Oddysee – New ‘n’ Tasty.
After watching this latest trailer i have to confess that it initially felt a little odd, in some respects it shows how a change in music and some clever editing can completely change the feel of something.
In this case the use of a new remix of Elodie Adams’ “Born To Love You” gives Oddworld a much grander and more immediately darker tone than most are used to.
But when you think about it Oddworld always was pretty fucked up. Despite the generally humorous and light tone. It is a game in which you play a slave, freeing other slaves from a mechanised workhouse before their captors kill and eat them just to make some more money.
Maybe we all underestimated the severity of the situation a little. Anyhoo, here it is.
