Capcom has announced a new HD version of the 2002 Game Cube remake of Resident Evil will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on digital platforms in Europe and North America in Early 2015.
According to Capcom, the new version of the REmake will include improved textures and character models and will at run at 1080p on Xbox One and PS4. The sound has also been remastered and will include support for 5.1 surround sound.
Players will also be able to chose whether to play the game in the orignal 4:3 format or 16:9 widescreen. the controls have also been reworked with players able to play with either the classic ‘tank’ controls or with an alternate scheme where the player character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, Both of these options can be toggled at any time.
Along with the announcement Capcom also released the first batch of screens and a trailer showing the remaster of the remake in action.












Resident Evil will be out early next year (2015) for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. There has been no word of a WiiU release at this time.
